Dana Caudill Jones proudly represents North Carolina’s 31st Senate District. A lifelong conservative Republican, she is committed to protecting taxpayers, strengthening public safety, supporting small businesses, expanding educational opportunity, and delivering results for the families of Forsyth and Stokes counties.

Born and raised in Kernersville, Jones is a graduate of High Point University and, alongside her husband David, leads Caudill’s Commercial Electric, the family business her parents founded in 1973. Her career in public service began in 2003 with her election to the Kernersville Board of Aldermen, where she served for ten years, including a term as Mayor Pro Tem. She went on to serve eight years on the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education, three of them as chair, helping pass a major bond referendum, expand Pre-K access, and improve outcomes across the district’s 81 schools.

Jones has devoted much of her volunteer work to children, families, and mental health, serving on the boards of the Kernersville YMCA, the Arts Council of Winston-Salem, and Next Step Ministries, where she has worked directly with survivors of domestic abuse. She is a founding board member of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Education Foundation. Guided by a philosophy of “service over self,” Jones continues to focus on building relationships and finding common ground to move her community forward.
