Norman Sanderson was born in Lumberton, NC where he and his six brothers and sisters learned the value of a strong work ethic as they worked the family farm through their entire youth. This work ethic would later inspire Norman to become an entrepreneur. Norman graduated from West Columbus High School and attended North Carolina State University, focusing on Agricultural Education. He later earned a BA in Christian Education from Logos Christian College & Graduate Schools.

Norman has been a resident of Craven and Pamlico Counties for over 43 years, and in 2010 he was elected to serve in the NC House of Representatives for District 3. In 2012, Norm was asked to run for the NC Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Jean Preston, which he won using hard work and a strong grass-roots campaign.
